Scooby Dog in Waterville-Augusta Maine

Featuring scooby pit bull and scooby humane society

Meet Scooby, a charming 1-year-old tan and white pit bull mix currently awaiting his forever home at the Humane Society Waterville Area in Waterville, Maine.

Since his arrival on June 23, 2026, Scooby has been residing on the dog adoption floor, eager to meet potential adopters.

While his house-training status remains unknown, his youthful energy and affectionate nature make him a delightful companion.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Josh Forester, the Humane Society Waterville Area continues its mission to shelter animals until they find permanent homes, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and advocate for the humane treatment of all animals.

Forester, who joined the organization in 2024, brings a wealth of experience from his background as a dog trainer and is committed to enhancing the shelter's operations and community engagement.

Prospective adopters are encouraged to visit the shelter at 100 Webb Road to meet Scooby and learn more about the adoption process.

Adoption fees cover essential services such as neutering, microchipping, and vaccinations, ensuring that pets like Scooby are ready to transition into their new homes.

By adopting Scooby, you're not only gaining a loyal friend but also supporting the vital work of the Humane Society Waterville Area in providing care and shelter to animals in need.
